IP Trainee Internship

The Intellectual Property Law Simulation Internship Programme (IPLSIP) is a self-paced virtual internship designed to provide practical exposure to intellectual property law through a structured, simulation-based learning approach. Hosted on the LMS platform of The Collective Counsel, this programme enables participants to engage with real-world inspired scenarios involving brand protection, trademark disputes, and legal strategy. Participants take on the role of interns at Sharma & Kemp Chambers, working on a continuous case involving a startup brand facing potential trademark infringement issues. The programme is designed to replicate how intellectual property matters are handled in a professional legal environment. The focus of the programme is to develop practical skills such as trademark analysis, legal drafting, risk assessment, and strategic decision-making, moving beyond theoretical understanding to real-world application.

Upon registration, participants will gain access to the internship through the LMS portal of The Collective Counsel. The programme begins with an introductory video, followed by sequential tasks based on a continuous case file. Participants will analyze information, perform practical assignments, and apply legal reasoning at each stage. The internship is self-paced, allowing participants to complete tasks at their convenience while maintaining a professional approach. Upon successful completion, participants will be awarded a Certificate of Completion by The Collective Counsel.
