Job Simulation: Arbitration & Dispute Resolution Practice by The Collective Counsel Endorsed by Vidhinya Associates The Arbitration & Dispute Resolution Job Simulation is a self-paced virtual internship designed to provide practical exposure to alternative dispute resolution (ADR) through a structured, simulation-based learning experience. Hosted on the LMS platform of The Collective Counsel, this programme enables participants to engage with real-world inspired commercial disputes and understand how such matters are handled outside traditional court systems. Participants take on the role of interns at Vidhinya Associates, working on a commercial dispute arising from a contractual relationship. The programme focuses on how arbitration is used as an effective mechanism for resolving disputes in a professional legal environment. The objective of the programme is to move beyond theoretical understanding and develop practical skills in analyzing disputes, interpreting arbitration clauses, and assisting in strategic legal decision-making.

Programme Approach

This simulation follows a workflow-based approach, replicating how a legal team handles a dispute in a law firm. Instead of traditional task-based learning, participants will work through different stages of a case file, each representing a step in the dispute resolution process. This approach ensures a more realistic and immersive experience. Participants will engage with documents, internal notes, and strategic inputs, simulating the actual working environment of a legal professional.

Participants will review materials, analyze legal aspects, and contribute to decision-making at each stage. The simulation is self-paced, allowing participants to complete stages at their convenience while maintaining a professional approach. Upon successful completion, participants will be awarded a Certificate of Completion by The Collective Counsel.
